Lies that the NicoDemon Tells

A gentleman posted how his wife is not supportive of his quitting smoking.  She's a smoker herself and has gotten gruff and short with him. I believe the reason why is because her NicoDemon is filling her with lies, telling her that her habit is in danger and that she must attack her husband because he's attacking her by quitting, making her look bad, and threatening her "enjoyment" of smoking!
Smoking is a comfort in times of stress, a friend who's absence will be unbearable, life will be empty and unbearable if you can not smoke!
After quitting for some time, it's ok to try one cigarette because it will taste terrible!
You don't have to quit altogether.  You can just cut back and the health benefits will be almost the same as if you didn't smoke.
You've got to die sometime and who wants to live to be 100 anyway.
Most who smoke don't get sick, so you won't either.
I quit for three years in the early 1980s, but NicoDemon was laying in wait...knowing that once a smoker, always a smoker!  the Demon saw his chance one day, when my husband, who was in the loft upstairs, tossed a sicgarette over the balcony to me and asked me to light it on the stove since his lighter was out of fluid.   I really didn't give it a thought...I just lit it for him and started up the stairs.  On the way up NicoDemon whispered to me...better take a drag, or the light will go out.  I did...and it tasted good.  Surprisingly so, after three years, and before I got to the top of the stairs,  I took another drag.  The taste was with me all afternoon, and then, NicoDemon told me I could smoke one, that one wouldn't hurt me after all these years.  So I did... Game Over!.  Within two weeks I was smoking as much as ever and it was another 20 years of abusing my body with Nicotine and the hundreds of other toxins found in sicerettes before I could bring myself to quit again! Damn those NicoDemon Lies!
I quit smoking less then two weeks ago.  My favorite sicorettes were Marlboro Lights, but I could never afford to buy them except on special occasions.  Well, today, in the road on my way to the pool to work out, I found an almost full pack of pristine white Marlboro Lights.  Now who in the world put those there do you think...  I have a feeling I know!  NICODEMON!  Good think I was on my way to work out.  After swimming a few laps and feeling how good my lungs felt, I wasn't even tempted by the pack I'd found.  Just amazed at the gull of NicoDemon!

A MESSAGE TO THE JUNIQUE JUNOPERS AND
all my other olbie friends in the forum!

To my fellow Junique Junopers...and other old friends in Forum.  I just wanted to let you know that
I can't get into the forums.  Try as I might, I can't remember my original login, so I created a new login with my second email address, and was able to post my 2 year milestone on June the 8th.
However, since then, I've not been able to log back in.   I must have written something wrong in the user name and/or password.   I've tried asking for my password by answering my sercret quesiton, but to no avail..  So  instead I'll have to use this way to say howdy to everyone.  If someone who knows me see's this would you post a howdy to everyone and say thanks for the nice response to my milestone post in the olbies thread? And I want to say congratulations  to all my fellow Junique Junopers who made it to their 2 year mark and beyond!
