The
best stir fry I've come up with starts with Green Giant Stir Fry
with Sauces. It comes in three flavors and can be found in
the frozen vegetable freezer. I add my own chicken (boil
chicken legs in lightly salted water until the meat can easily
be pierced with a fork). Or my own beef - 8 0z
to 1lb top sirloin or strip steak cut into strips works
well. Brown
the beef or chicken in a large skillet, then remove meat from
skillet and set aside. Add one tablespoon of oil to the
skillet. Once oil is good and hot, add vegetables and keep
flipping until hot. Then add the meat back in and the
included sauce, continuing to fold veggies over and over until
stir fry veggies, sauce and meat are well heated through. In
the meantime, cook minute rice according to package on box,
adding a couple pinches of sugar to the boiling
water. When
stir fry is finished, dish over rice for a delicious fast
dinner! I like to
add a can of mushrooms to the stir fry, and, if I have them, a
can of water chestnuts while frying. When nearly finished
I also like to add both green and black olives. |
